One life. What's it all about?

Over 7 sessions we will explore 3 questions that cut right to the heart of Christianity: Who is Jesus? Why did he come? What is involved in following him? Each session will include a short DVD and a discussion which will be related to the clip as well as the opportunity to check out what the bible says. (The course generally follows the book of Mark and if you are interested or have time, there will be follow up reading on this each week).

There will be time to think through what life is really all about, ask questions, discuss with others, or just listen and take it all in.

Christianity Explored is a well recognised course which can be used in a variety of ways, and has been going for 15 years now. Over this time, the course has stimulated thought and discussion, and hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world have encountered the real Jesus. It has been translated into over 20 languages and continues to grow. For more information or other courses near you, see: www.christianityexplored.org

When? Starts Sunday 3rd February at 11am* and will run every week, same time, same place, for 8 weeks. If you have to miss a week, don't worry, there will be time to catch up with others and each person will get a course 'handbook' with notes.

Where? Partick Trinity Church. *The course will run as part of the usual sunday morning activities in Partick Trinity but it will be a new venture for us to try it out in this way. The main service will start as normal at 11am with an opportunity to join in with the time of singing and prayer at the start. Then those wishing to take part in the christianity explored course will leave the main area and head out to what we call 'church house' for a more informal comfortable setting. (Those wishing to stay for the sermon and more singing / prayer will stay in the main part of the church.) After we have finished we will have tea /coffee etc at the end.

Note that we have a Sunday Club for children, which has something for all ages and starts at around 10:45am while folk gather. Babies and toddlers are also cared for in our crèche so please feel free to come on the course and leave your children in capable hands.

Who? The course is open to absolutely everyone who is interested in exploring the christian faith - maybe you have a vague idea that there should be something more to life... maybe you are interested in what your christian friend believes... maybe you've recently been coming to church but aren't sure what you believe ... maybe you have been a christian for 5, 10, 50 years and want to remind yourself why... This course is for you! And if you don't normally come to church, please don't be put off, you are very welcome to join us, the course will be very informal and we hope you feel right at home. You might even like it! But there is no obligation to stay for the duration or sign up to anything.

What now? If you would like to come on the course, please register your interest with Julie at explore@particktrinity.org.uk. Please also get in touch if you have ANY other questions, we will be happy to help if we can.
