Our Purpose and Values

To be a family brought together by God’s grace and for his glory

Knowing God; Making God Known

God has spoken through the Bible and through his Son, Jesus Christ. Regardless of our starting point, knowing God involves opening our hearts and minds to the Bible and its message of good news.

The good news about Jesus is good news for everyone. We make God known as we share this good news with others and as we respond to its call upon the whole of our lives through acts of love and mercy.

Depending on God; Giving God the Glory

All that we have and enjoy comes from God.  In prayer and with thankful hearts we look to him for all that we need and hope for.

God alone is worthy of the highest praise and honour and calls us to worship him with the whole of our lives.  The focus of all that we do should be to give glory to God.

Loving One Another; Welcoming and Loving Others

Through our faith in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, we have been welcomed into one family.  We are all different, but we are committed to loving and serving one another as we enjoy God throughout the rough and tumble of life.

Each and every person in our community matters to God.  We want to display the love of God in acts of kindness, friendship and compassion to people of every age, stage and walk of life.

What We Believe

At Partick Trinity, we want to know and follow Jesus Christ.  Jesus shows us what God is like and tells us how we should live.  More than that, through his life, death, and resurrection Jesus makes it possible for us to enjoy a restored relationship with God.

Our life as a church is based around listening and responding to what the Bible teaches, speaking to God in prayer, and telling others the good news about Jesus.

We hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith as a subordinate standard; we recognise liberty of opinion on those things that aren’t part of the core of the Christian faith. We try to measure everything by what we read in the Bible.

What Next?
If you’d like to find out more about Christianity, please do come along to one of our services when we look more closely at what the Bible teaches and at what difference it makes to us.
