We've got lots of things happening for children and young people. And we're planning even more in the future! We regard kids and teenagers as a very important part of our church - and we want them to play a full part in shaping our fellowship of the future. At Katharos we have Bible Teaching, Time for reflection, Theme Nights, Movie Nights and look at topics that are relevant in young people's lives today. We also go on trips throughout the year as part of the programme too. Schools Work
We currently focus on 2 main schools: Hillhead Primary & Hillhead High. We run an SU Group - EXPLORE in Hillhead High every Tuesday during the lunch break in the school library. This group is open to any pupil attending the school and is run in partnership with the Wheel Trust. At EXPLORE we chat about different 'Hot Topics' every week and give a Christian perspective, which starts discussions allowing others to participate and to share their views too. We also volunteer within Hillhead Primary every Monday, Wednesday & Friday, helping out with activities such as Lunch Time Football & various Golden Time activities. Both schools allow us the opportunity to advertise our Youth Groups and Holiday Clubs at assemblies and classroom visits.

Camps
Alan Scott (our youth worker) has recently taken over the running of the Scripture Union Summer Camp - GS5 in Glenshee from our previous minister Rev.Stuart Smith. Alan will be co leading the GS5 summer camp with ML Stone who is SU's regional worker for Glasgow.
